Task: Open sprint 25

Sprint 25 exists as a proper agile artefact (scaffolded, wired into the version manifest and agile index), sprint 24's remaining bookkeeping drift is resolved, and the build-side housekeeping that always accompanies a sprint open (version bump, vcpkg submodule update) lands verified.

(Implementation strategy. Written when work starts; key decisions are distilled into the parent story's * Decisions at close, but the plan itself stays — it is the historical record of what we did.)

Manual QA scenarios (scaffolded via compass add test_scenario, run through the QA Validation Runner panel) that verify this task. Link new ones here as they're created; the scenario doc itself links back via its "Verifies task" field.

Sprint 25 scaffolded, mission set, wired into version.org and agile.org. Sprint 24's remaining bookkeeping drift resolved: a story with all tasks DONE but a stale State field closed properly, the retrospective written into sprint.org from the release notes' Post Mortem, real id: org-roam links added both ways between sprint.org and release_notes.org, and sprint 24 itself flipped to DONE. Two sprint-24 stories with genuine unfinished work (Commission Acme Corporation, Sprint 24 closure) split their remainders into acceptance-scoped sprint-25 stories rather than being carried forward wholesale. downloads.org updated with the missing v0.0.23/v0.0.24 rows, Windows build status verified against each tag's actual CI check-runs rather than assumed. Version bumped to 0.0.25 across all six files the recipe names. vcpkg submodule updated to latest (2026.06.24-242-g3ddaad9be9 -> 2026.07.29-43-gfbb17a16a9); the newer commit needed a vcpkg rebootstrap to pick up a vcpkg-tools.json schema bump. Verified with a full clean build (linux-clang-debug-make) and the complete test suite: 71/71 passed.
