This page documents a task in the Sprint 25 closure: story cleanup and reset for sprint 26 story. It captures the goal, current status, acceptance, and any notes or results.
1. Goal
Sprint 25 has release notes that describe what shipped, what was abandoned at close and why, and a post mortem. The notes ship as the body of the v0.0.25 draft GitHub release.

3. Acceptance
release_notes.orghas no placeholder left, and every claim matches the story files.- The four charts cover the whole sprint, 2026-08-03 to 2026-09-23.
release_notes.mdis exported, and the sprint's Retrospective and Status table link the notes.

9. Result
The generator listed every story, abandoned ones included, under Key Improvements, and it took the sprint duration from the oldest carried story. The body was rewritten by hand in the sprint 24 format: summary, highlights, improvements by theme, the abandoned stories grouped with their reason, a post mortem, and the next-sprint line.
compass release-notes charts read the planned end date (2026-08-10)
from the stale index, even after #+end_date changed to 2026-09-23.
The charts were rendered with compass sprint charts --sprint 25
--end-date 2026-09-23 instead. They count 200 merged PRs from git
history; GitHub reports 316, which the notes use.
The retrospective in sprint.org is the post mortem, as in sprint 24.
The tag and the draft release follow the merge, with
compass release-notes draft --sprint 25 --codename <name>.
The release is v0.0.25, "Lucira", a fishing village on the Namibe
coast. The downloads page (doc/downloads.org) lists it in its
Releases table, with the Linux, macOS and Windows package links. The
tag builds attach those packages; check each link once they finish.
